And yet with every movement, every push for goodness, there's always a deep part of ourselves, perhaps a raw survival instinct, that refuses to let us, as humans, accept the responsibility of our destruction...

The pen is mightier than the test tube.

A couple of months ago, I made the questionable decision to drop out of my master's course and pursue a career in ecology. Then in animal husbandry. Then in wildlife journalism. The thing is, I don't really know what career I want, but I do know that sitting in a dark lecture theatre feeling like an idiot for not understand the in-depth particulars of my lecturers’ decades-old work is not what I want to be doing.
